After a decade of touring with original music and theater, one thing remained constant: women’s music, songwriting, and stories were told far less than their male counterparts. Inspired to bring female identifying artists to center stage, and to create a collective for NYC based singer/instrumentalists, Allison created and is the bandleader for Americana Women. From it’s earliest days, Americana Women has employed women on the creative, performing, technical, and management teams.
